Wonder Kids
Emotional and social themes and practices
In this program, we cover topics related to emotions and social life.
Program Highlights:
Workshop 1: EMOTIONS
Kids will develop skills to bounce back from challenges and setbacks. They’ll learn about the importance of self-compassion, perseverance, and seeking support when needed.Through role-playing exercises and real-life scenarios, children will practice responding to different emotional situations. This helps them build confidence in handling their emotions in everyday life. The workshop also focuses on developing empathy and social skills. Kids will learn how to recognize and respect the emotions of others, fostering better communication and stronger relationships.
Bonus: Tips for parents: "How to help a child overcome fear," "What to do when a child has scary dreams," etc.
Workshop 2: SENSORY INTEGRATION THROUGH PLAY
This workshop is designed to support sensory integration, helping kids enhance their motor skills, balance, and coordination in a playful and therapeutic environment. The workshop will focus on how different sensory inputs, like touch, movement, and balance, contribute to their overall development. The workshop includes various sensory play activities that combine tactile, visual, and kinesthetic experiences. Kids will enjoy exploring different textures, shapes, and movements, which are crucial for sensory integration and motor skill development.
Orthopedic Puzzles: Children will work with specially designed orthopedic puzzles that challenge their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving abilities. These puzzles are not only fun but also help improve dexterity and spatial awareness.
Balancing Hedgehogs: Using balancing hedgehog tools, kids will engage in activities that enhance their sense of balance and body awareness. These spiky, textured tools provide tactile stimulation while encouraging children to practice stability, posture, and coordination.
Workshop 3: QUALITY TIME WITH PARENTS
Parents and children will have opportunities to express themselves creatively through art, music, or writing. These activities encourage self-expression and allow families to discover new ways to connect and enjoy each other’s company. Through guided exercises, families will practice active listening, expressing emotions, and effective communication. These skills help both parents and children feel heard and understood, creating a more supportive family environment.
Families will be guided in creating their own special rituals or traditions, whether it’s a weekly game night, a special meal, or a bedtime story routine. These traditions become cherished memories and reinforce the bond between parents and children. The workshop will provide families with ideas and resources for continuing to spend quality time together at home. Simple, practical tips will help parents incorporate these meaningful activities into their daily routines.
