Workshop 1:  PET IN A ROOM

Kids are encouraged to bring their pets to the workshop! Whether it’s a dog, cat, small mammal, reptile, or bird, having their pet with them makes learning even more engaging and relevant. Participants will learn the basics of pet care with their pets by their side. Topics include proper feeding, grooming, exercise, and understanding their pet’s unique needs and behaviors.

Through direct interaction with their pets, children will develop a deeper sense of empathy and responsibility. They’ll learn how their care and attention impact their pet’s well-being and happiness.

Workshop 2: BUILDING A BALL RUN WITH MAGNETIC TILES

Children will brainstorm and sketch their ball run designs. They’ll learn about basic engineering concepts such as gravity, angles, and balance as they plan their track layouts to ensure that their balls will move smoothly from start to finish. The workshop encourages kids to think critically and creatively as they solve challenges that arise during construction. They’ll learn how to troubleshoot and modify their designs to overcome obstacles and achieve their desired results.

Once their ball runs are complete, children will have fun testing their creations. They’ll observe how the balls move through their designs, learning about the effects of different angles and track features on the ball’s path. Kids can work in pairs or small groups, promoting teamwork and collaboration as they share ideas, solve problems, and build together.

Workshop 3. DOMINO EFFECT

Kids will learn about the basic concept of the domino effect, where a single action triggers a chain reaction of events. They’ll see examples of how small changes can lead to significant outcomes in various scenarios. Participants will plan and design their own domino setups, incorporating different elements to create a visually impressive and functional chain reaction. They’ll learn about angles, spacing, and placement to ensure their designs work smoothly. The Domino Effect offers a fun and educational experience that combines creativity with fundamental physics concepts. It’s perfect for kids who enjoy building, experimenting, and seeing their ideas come to life in a chain reaction.
